Nexus Global Logistics is seeking a data-driven Senior Supply Chain Manager to optimize our end-to-end logistics network in the heart of Chicago. You will lead cross-functional teams to streamline procurement, enhance warehouse throughput, and implement cutting-edge inventory management systems.
We are looking for a strategic thinker who balances high-level planning with tactical execution to ensure our global distribution remains resilient, efficient, and cost-effective.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies to optimize product flow and reduce lead times.
- Manage end-to-end relationships with 3PL providers, carriers, and international vendors.
- Analyze supply chain metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement scalable solutions.
- Oversee inventory management protocols to ensure 99%+ accuracy and reduce carrying costs.
- Drive continuous improvement projects, including lean methodology and Six Sigma initiatives.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team of supply chain analysts and logistics coordinators.
- Collaborate with Finance and Sales departments to ensure demand planning aligns with procurement capacity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations management.
- Expertise in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics 365).
- Proven track record of managing global supply chains with complex logistical challenges.
- Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) and Excel modeling.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business strategy.
- APICS (CSCP or CPIM) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification highly preferred.
