Key Responsibilities:
• Operational Leadership: Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution.
• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement logistics strategies that align with company goals, focusing on cost reduction and service improvement.
• Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts with carriers, 3PL providers, and suppliers to secure the best rates and service levels.
• Process Optimization: Analyze supply chain workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing logistics team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Compliance & Risk: Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and safety standards while mitigating supply chain risks.
• Data Analysis: Utilize ERP systems and analytics tools to forecast demand and generate comprehensive logistics reports.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the logistics department, ensuring timely delivery and accurate record-keeping.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and procurement, to forecast inventory needs accurately.
- Manage carrier relationships and negotiate freight rates to ensure competitive pricing.
- Implement and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure supply chain performance.
- Lead continuous improvement projects to enhance warehouse layout and distribution efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations.
- Proven experience managing a team of logistics professionals.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Manhattan Associates) and supply chain software.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and create actionable strategies.
- Certification in APICS (CPIM/CSCP) or Six Sigma is a strong plus.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
