Responsibilities
- Lead Supply Chain Operations: Direct and manage the end-to-end logistics process, including inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with company goals, focusing on cost reduction and service improvement.
- Vendor Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with third-party carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners to ensure service reliability.
- Cost Optimization: Analyze operational expenses and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality or safety standards.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise a diverse team of logistics coordinators and support staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to DOT, OSHA, and local regulations regarding safety, compliance, and documentation.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably within a fast-paced distribution environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in supply chain software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Manhattan Associates) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex logistical challenges and develop effective solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of negotiating with vendors and presenting reports to senior management.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
