Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive fleet management strategies aligned with company goals, including route optimization and vehicle maintenance schedules.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of logistics coordinators and dispatchers to ensure high productivity and safety standards.
- Analyze operational data and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) to identify trends, reduce costs, and improve delivery times.
- Ensure full compliance with local and international transportation regulations, including DOT, GDPR, and environmental standards.
- Manage the annual fleet budget, negotiating with vendors and suppliers to secure the best rates for fuel, insurance, and parts.
- Implement and oversee safety programs, conducting regular audits and training sessions to minimize accidents and incidents.
- Collaborate with the IT department to integrate TMS (Transport Management Systems) and automate reporting processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in fleet operations, logistics management, or transportation management.
- Proven experience in leading and developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong proficiency in TMS software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English languages; fluency in a third language is a plus.
- Valid driving license (B-class) and a clean driving record.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with a focus on process improvement.
