Responsibilities
- Design and analyze subsea production systems including trees, manifolds, and control systems using industry-standard software (e.g., SACS, OrcaFlex)
- Lead FEED studies and detailed engineering phases for deepwater development projects
- Develop system specifications and interface management documentation for subsea components
- Conduct risk assessments and reliability analyses for subsea equipment under harsh environmental conditions
- Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with procurement, construction, and operations teams
- Ensure compliance with API, ISO, and NORSOK standards for subsea systems
- Support commissioning and troubleshooting activities during project execution phases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Ocean, or Petroleum Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in subsea engineering for oil and gas projects
- Proficiency in subsea design software and hydraulic/pneumatic system modeling
- Strong understanding of deepwater installation methods and subsea intervention techniques
- Certification in subsea systems engineering or project management (e.g., PMP) is advantageous
- Experience with Arctic and deepwater subsea systems highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and manage complex engineering projects
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety compliance
