Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
- Conduct regular workplace inspections, audits, and incident investigations to identify hazards
- Deliver engaging safety training programs for employees on topics like PPE, hazardous materials, and emergency procedures
- Manage environmental compliance initiatives including waste management, air quality monitoring, and spill prevention
- Prepare and submit required regulatory reports for OSHA, EPA, and state authorities
- Lead safety committees and drive continuous improvement through data analysis and root cause investigations
- Stay current with evolving EHS regulations and emerging sustainability trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years EHS experience in manufacturing or industrial setting
- OSHA 30-hour certification and/or CSP/CHRM credentials preferred
- Expert knowledge of EPA regulations, DOT compliance, and ISO standards
- Strong proficiency in EHS software (e.g., Intelex, Cority) and MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills with ability to train diverse audiences
- Proven track record in developing safety cultures and reducing incident rates
