Responsibilities
- Design and analyze subsea hardware including trees, manifolds, and control systems using industry-standard software
- Lead FEED studies and detailed engineering for subsea projects in water depths up to 10,000 ft
- Develop and execute system integration plans for subsea production facilities
- Conduct risk assessments and reliability studies for subsea components and assemblies
- Coordinate with drilling, reservoir, and surface engineering teams to ensure seamless system integration
- Maintain compliance with API 17D, NORSOK, and other industry standards
- Mentor junior engineers and facilitate knowledge transfer within the engineering team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, or Ocean Engineering (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in subsea systems engineering for offshore oil & gas projects
- Proficiency in subsea engineering software (e.g., SACS, OrcaFlex, HYSYS)
- Deepwater project experience with water depths exceeding 5,000 ft
- Strong understanding of subsea control systems and hydraulic/pneumatic operations
- API 17D certification or equivalent industry credentials
- Demonstrated success leading complex engineering projects from concept to execution
- Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot field issues remotely
