Responsibilities
- Manage complex child protection cases with high-risk families
- Develop and implement individualized service plans for children and caregivers
- Conduct home visits and risk assessments while maintaining rigorous documentation standards
- Collaborate with schools, courts, and healthcare providers to coordinate services
- Provide crisis intervention and trauma-informed counseling to children and families
- Mentor junior social workers and contribute to agency training programs
- Analyze case data to identify systemic barriers and advocate for policy improvements
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from accredited institution
- LCSW licensure in Illinois with minimum 3 years post-MSW experience
- Demonstrated expertise in child welfare and trauma-informed practices
- Experience with family systems theory and strength-based approaches
- Proficient in electronic health record systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic)
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish highly preferred
- Valid Illinois driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
