Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop safety plans for at-risk children and families
- Provide trauma-informed therapy and crisis intervention services to vulnerable populations
- Coordinate with schools, courts, and healthcare providers to ensure holistic client support
- Lead community outreach initiatives to prevent child maltreatment and build protective networks
- Maintain meticulous documentation while ensuring compliance with state/federal regulations
- Mentor junior staff through clinical supervision and professional development
- Analyze systemic barriers and advocate for policy improvements in child welfare systems
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) with LCSW licensure in Illinois
- Minimum 5 years' experience in child protection or related field
- Certification in Trauma-Focused CBT or equivalent evidence-based practice
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex caseloads with competing priorities
- Expertise in cultural competency and serving diverse urban populations
- Strong crisis intervention and de-escalation skills
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
