Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized service plans for at-risk children and families
- Provide crisis intervention and trauma-informed counseling in high-stakes situations
- Collaborate with schools, courts, and community agencies to coordinate comprehensive support
- Conduct thorough assessments and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state regulations
- Mentor junior social workers and lead case review sessions
- Advocate for policy changes affecting child welfare systems
- Facilitate family therapy sessions and parenting skills workshops
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from CSWE-accredited program
- Valid Illinois LCSW license with minimum 3 years post-MSW experience
- Proven expertise in child welfare, family systems, and trauma-informed practices
- Strong cultural competency with diverse populations
- Advanced knowledge of Illinois child protection laws and DCFS protocols
- Excellent crisis management and de-escalation skills
- Experience supervising social work teams or interns
