Responsibilities
- Provide trauma-informed counseling and crisis intervention for children and families experiencing domestic violence, neglect, and mental health challenges
- Develop and implement individualized service plans aligned with provincial child welfare standards
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and court-ordered evaluations
- Lead community outreach initiatives to connect families with housing, healthcare, and financial assistance resources
- Mentor 3-5 junior social workers through case supervision and skill-building workshops
- Collaborate with schools, hospitals, and law enforcement agencies to create integrated support networks
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) with specialized training in child welfare
- Minimum 5 years' direct practice experience in child protection services
- Ontario College of Social Workers (OCSWSSW) registration in good standing
- Certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
- Proven ability to manage complex caseloads involving high-risk situations
- Fluency in English and proficiency in at least one additional community language
- Advanced knowledge of Ontario's Child, Youth and Family Services Act
