Responsibilities
- Assess client needs and develop comprehensive case management plans for diverse populations
- Provide crisis intervention and trauma-informed counseling to individuals and families
- Coordinate multidisciplinary services including housing, healthcare, and legal advocacy
- Design and facilitate community workshops on mental health, financial literacy, and parenting skills
- Collaborate with government agencies and nonprofits to address systemic social issues
- Maintain accurate documentation and generate outcome reports for funding partners
- Mentor junior staff and supervise fieldwork placements for social work interns
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
- Licensure as LMSW or LCSW in New York State
- Minimum 5 years of direct service experience in community-based social work
- Expertise in crisis intervention, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care
- Proven ability to navigate complex systems and secure resources for vulnerable populations
- Strong cultural competency with experience serving diverse urban communities
- Excellent written communication skills for grant writing and reporting
- Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation
