Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans for vulnerable populations including at-risk youth, refugees, and elderly individuals
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and crisis interventions in high-stakes situations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, schools, and government agencies to create integrated support networks
- Lead community outreach programs addressing systemic barriers to social equity
- Mentor and supervise 3-4 junior social workers through regular coaching sessions
- Analyze program effectiveness using data-driven methodologies to inform service improvements
- Advocate for policy changes at municipal and provincial levels affecting underserved communities
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in direct social service delivery
- Registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers (RSW)
- Proven expertise in trauma-informed care and cultural competency frameworks
- Advanced knowledge of Ontario's social services legislation and funding models
- Certification in crisis intervention (e.g., ASIST, QPR)
- Demonstrated experience in program evaluation and outcome measurement
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community visits
