Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized service plans for clients facing complex social challenges
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and advocacy for vulnerable populations including refugees, youth, and families
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic community resources and support networks
- Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and maintain confidential client documentation
- Lead community outreach programs to identify and address systemic barriers to social inclusion
- Train and mentor junior staff on trauma-informed care practices and cultural competency
- Monitor program outcomes and contribute to organizational policy development
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
- Minimum 3 years of direct experience in social services with vulnerable populations
- Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW)
- Proven expertise in crisis intervention, case management, and trauma-informed approaches
- Strong knowledge of Canadian social services systems and community resources
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to engage diverse populations
- Cultural competency and experience working with immigrant/refugee communities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for community visits
