Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for clients facing housing instability, mental health challenges, and economic hardship
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and crisis interventions in high-pressure situations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, legal advocates, and community organizations to coordinate holistic support
- Provide trauma-informed counseling and case management to vulnerable populations including youth, veterans, and refugees
- Advocate for systemic change through policy analysis and community education initiatives
- Maintain meticulous documentation and compliance with all federal/state regulations and agency protocols
- Mentor junior staff through supervision sessions and skill-building workshops
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
- LCSW or LMSW license in New York State with minimum 3 years post-licensure experience
- Proven expertise in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse populations including LGBTQ+ communities and individuals with disabilities
- Advanced knowledge of NYC social services systems, benefits programs, and housing resources
- Exceptional cultural humility and ability to build rapport across socioeconomic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds
- Strong analytical skills for developing evidence-based interventions and outcome measurements
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for home visits
