Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized case management plans for clients facing homelessness, domestic violence, or mental health challenges
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and crisis interventions in high-stakes situations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including healthcare providers, legal advocates, and housing specialists
- Facilitate therapeutic groups on topics like trauma recovery, financial literacy, and parenting skills
- Advocate for systemic change through policy analysis and community organizing initiatives
- Maintain detailed client records while ensuring HIPAA compliance and ethical documentation standards
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
- 3+ years of direct practice experience in urban social services settings
- Licensure as LCSW or LMSW in New York State
- Proven expertise in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care methodologies
- Strong cultural competency with diverse populations including LGBTQ+ and immigrant communities
- Advanced knowledge of NYC social services resources and benefits systems
- Excellent written communication skills for grant reporting and client documentation
