Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans for clients facing housing instability, mental health challenges, and economic hardship
- Provide crisis intervention and trauma-informed counseling to individuals and families
- Collaborate with community organizations, healthcare providers, and government agencies to create resource networks
- Conduct thorough assessments and advocate for clients within complex systems
- Maintain detailed case documentation and ensure compliance with NYS licensing standards
- Lead community workshops on financial literacy, parenting skills, and mental health awareness
- Mentor junior social workers and contribute to program evaluation initiatives
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution
- NYS LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker) certification required
- Minimum 5 years of direct service experience in community-based social work
- Proven expertise in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care models
- Strong assessment skills with ability to navigate complex socio-economic systems
- Experience developing and managing grant-funded programs
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish highly preferred
- Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation
