Responsibilities
- Analyze complex sales data, market trends, and consumer behavior to optimize stock allocation and minimize markdowns.
- Develop and execute comprehensive seasonal merchandising plans in alignment with corporate strategy and local market needs.
- Collaborate closely with the Visual Merchandising team to create compelling in-store displays that drive sales conversion.
- Manage inventory levels across all channels, ensuring accurate stock availability and efficient supply chain communication.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing merchandising team, conducting regular performance reviews and training sessions.
- Forecast demand for new collections and key items, adjusting buying strategies based on real-time performance metrics.
- Represent the brand at trade shows and buyer meetings, maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in retail merchandising, buying, or operations.
- Proven experience managing large budgets and analyzing financial reports to drive profitability.
- Strong proficiency in POS systems, ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams.
- Deep understanding of current fashion trends, fabrications, and retail KPIs.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of flexibility and adaptability.
