Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive seasonal financial plans to achieve company gross margin and sales targets.
- Analyze historical data and market trends to provide actionable insights for future assortment curation.
- Manage open-to-buy (OTB) budgets, ensuring optimal inventory levels across all retail channels.
- Collaborate with the buying team to align product assortments with regional performance and customer demand.
- Monitor weekly, monthly, and seasonal performance metrics, providing proactive recommendations for price adjustments.
- Oversee end-to-end inventory flow, including initial allocation, replenishment, and mark-down strategies.
- Mentor junior analysts and foster a culture of data-backed decision making within the merchandise department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in retail merchandise planning or inventory management.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and ERP/Planning software (e.g., JDA, Oracle, SAP).
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into clear, strategic narratives.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional partners and leadership teams.
- Deep understanding of retail math, inventory lifecycles, and omnichannel sales strategies.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail in a fast-paced environment.
