Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive seasonal financial plans for multiple product categories.
- Collaborate with Buying teams to optimize assortment breadth and depth based on historical performance and trend analysis.
- Manage open-to-buy (OTB) projections to ensure inventory levels align with sales targets and company goals.
- Analyze weekly sales performance metrics to identify risks and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations.
- Partner with supply chain and logistics teams to manage inventory flow and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
- Mentor junior planners and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and data integrity.
- Present business performance reviews to senior executive leadership on a monthly basis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Retail Management, or a related quantitative field.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in merchandise planning or retail financial analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Complex Formulas) and planning software.
- Deep understanding of retail math, inventory turns, margin management, and markdown strategies.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear business narratives.
- Proven track record of cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills tailored for executive audiences.
