Responsibilities
- Lead the development and maintenance of reservoir simulation models (ECLIPSE, CMG, or similar) to predict reservoir performance under various operating scenarios.
- Analyze production data and well test results to identify optimization opportunities and increase recovery factors.
- Collaborate closely with geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production teams to design integrated field development plans.
- Conduct reservoir characterization studies, including PVT analysis, relative permeability, and fluid flow modeling.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Mentor junior engineers and review their work to ensure technical excellence and adherence to safety standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related scientific field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the upstream oil and gas industry.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., ECLIPSE, CMG, Petrel, or Eclipse).
- Strong understanding of reservoir physics, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
- Proven track record of successful field development projects and reservoir management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
