Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex reservoir simulation models to forecast production and optimize recovery factors.
- Analyze production data, well tests, and geological data to identify trends and propose field development plans (FDP) that maximize asset value.
- Conduct technical reviews and mentoring of junior engineers and geoscientists to ensure the highest standards of engineering practice.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including geophysicists, drilling engineers, and facility personnel to integrate reservoir data into overall asset management strategies.
- Perform economic evaluations and feasibility studies for new drilling targets and enhanced oil recovery (EOR) projects.
- Present technical findings and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (PhD preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in upstream oil and gas operations, with a focus on reservoir engineering.
- Proficient in industry-standard simulation software such as ECLIPSE or CMG.
- Strong understanding of reservoir physics, fluid dynamics, and rock mechanics.
- P.E. (Professional Engineer) license is a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and make data-driven decisions.
