We are currently seeking a Senior Reservoir Engineer to lead our high-impact asset development team in Houston. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive reservoir simulation studies using Eclipse or Petrel RE to optimize field development plans and well spacing.
- Perform rigorous pressure transient analysis (PTA) and rate transient analysis (RTA) to evaluate well performance and reservoir connectivity.
- Lead the annual reserves estimation process (SEC reporting) and ensure compliance with industry standards and internal auditing.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including geologists and drilling engineers to identify and de-risk new completion and exploration opportunities.
- Develop detailed economic models to support A&D (Acquisitions & Divestitures) evaluations and capital allocation strategies.
- Mentor junior engineering staff, fostering a culture of technical growth and continuous improvement within the engineering department.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive experience in petroleum reservoir engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline (Master’s or PhD preferred).
- Expert-level proficiency in reservoir simulation software such as PETREL, ECLIPSE, or CMG.
- Proven track record of managing reserves for unconventional shale plays or deepwater offshore environments.
- Strong understanding of petroleum economics and software tools such as ARIES, PEEP, or ValNav.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex technical data to executive leadership.
