Responsibilities
- Lead product design lifecycle from concept through prototyping to manufacturing
- Conduct finite element analysis (FEA) and CFD simulations for performance optimization
- Develop detailed technical documentation including CAD models, BOMs, and assembly drawings
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement robust production processes
- Research and integrate emerging materials and technologies for product innovation
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct design reviews
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and industry safety standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical product development
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and ANSYS simulation tools
- Strong understanding of GD&T, manufacturing processes, and material science
- Experience with automotive industry standards and regulations
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills with complex mechanical systems
- Excellent project management and communication abilities
- PMP or PE certification a plus
