Responsibilities
- Design and implement reservoir simulation models for shale gas and tight oil assets using Petrel and CMG suites
- Lead production optimization strategies through data-driven well performance analysis
- Conduct economic evaluations for drilling programs and enhanced recovery projects
- Mentor junior engineers while ensuring compliance with SPE standards and regulatory requirements
- Develop AI-enhanced forecasting tools to predict decline curves and reserve estimates
- Coordinate with geoscience teams to integrate seismic and well log data into reservoir characterization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field; Master's preferred
- 8+ years of reservoir engineering experience in unconventional plays
- Advanced proficiency in reservoir simulation software (Petrel, Eclipse, CMG)
- Strong background in production data analytics and machine learning applications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Demonstrated success in reducing lifting costs by 15%+ through optimization
- Experience with DAS/DTS data integration and real-time surveillance systems
