Responsibilities
- Lead complex mechanical design projects using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Develop detailed CAD models and engineering drawings for aerospace components
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations for performance optimization
- Collaborate with R&D on material selection and manufacturing processes
- Mentor junior engineers and drive design innovation
- Interface with suppliers to ensure manufacturing feasibility
- Document engineering processes and maintain design standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for aerospace/defense
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and simulation tools
- Strong knowledge of GD&T and ASME standards
- Experience with composite materials and additive manufacturing
- Proven project management skills with PMP certification a plus
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
