Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced reservoir simulation models to forecast production performance
- Lead well placement strategies for unconventional shale plays in the Permian Basin
- Analyze pressure transient data to identify reservoir heterogeneities and flow barriers
- Develop enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methodologies for mature assets
- Collaborate with geoscience teams to integrate seismic interpretation with reservoir characterization
- Prepare authoritative reserve reports for SEC compliance and investor communications
- Mentor junior engineers and champion digital transformation initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 10+ years of reservoir engineering experience in onshore/offshore operations
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (Petrel, Eclipse, CMG)
- Proven track record in optimizing unconventional recovery techniques
- Strong analytical skills with reservoir characterization expertise
- Valid Texas PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Experience with machine learning applications in reservoir modeling
- Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations
