Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end mechanical design process for complex systems, from initial concept and 3D modeling to detailed drafting and final production release.
- Utilize advanced CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to create robust, manufacturable, and cost-effective mechanical components and assemblies.
- Perform rigorous structural and thermal analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure product reliability and performance under extreme conditions.
- Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing technicians, to integrate mechanical systems.
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, analyzing data to validate designs and implement continuous improvements.
- Ensure strict compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and internal quality control protocols (GD&T, ISO).
- Mentor junior engineers and designers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of engineering excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Expert proficiency in 3D CAD modeling software, specifically SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor.
- Deep understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and advanced manufacturing processes.
- Proven experience conducting structural and thermal simulations using FEA tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to prototyping and physical testing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
