Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced reservoir simulation models to forecast production performance and recovery factors
- Analyze pressure transient data and well test results to optimize field development strategies
- Lead multidisciplinary teams in integrating geological, petrophysical, and engineering data for reservoir characterization
- Develop enhanced oil recovery (EOR) plans and recommend capital investments for field expansion
- Monitor and interpret production trends to recommend operational adjustments and interventions
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for executive stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Mentor junior engineers and foster innovation in reservoir management technologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of progressive reservoir engineering experience in upstream oil and gas operations
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, Nexus, CMG) and data analytics tools
- Strong understanding of EOR techniques, well testing methodologies, and reservoir characterization
- Proven track record in developing field development plans and economic evaluations
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility for Texas licensure
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Demonstrated experience mentoring junior engineers and leading cross-functional projects
