Responsibilities
- Design and develop complex mechanical components and systems using industry-standard CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo).
- Conduct rigorous stress analysis, thermal analysis, and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure product integrity.
- Oversee the prototyping and rigorous testing phases of new product development to validate performance.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers.
- Maintain detailed technical documentation, engineering specifications, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).
- Identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction in existing designs.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical decision-making processes.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (M.S. preferred).
- 5+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or CATIA) and simulation software.
- Strong understanding of materials science, manufacturing processes, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Experience with FEA tools (ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
