Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-fidelity reservoir simulation models to forecast production performance.
- Perform comprehensive decline curve analysis (DCA) and material balance calculations for active assets.
- Collaborate with the drilling and completions team to optimize well spacing and fracture design.
- Conduct integrated production system analysis to identify and mitigate flow bottlenecks.
- Prepare detailed technical presentations for executive leadership regarding asset valuation and growth opportunities.
- Mentor junior engineering staff on best practices for reservoir characterization and surveillance.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations in all engineering designs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in reservoir engineering, specifically within US onshore assets.
- Expertise in industry-standard software such as Petrel, Eclipse, CMG, or OFM.
- Deep understanding of unconventional reservoir behavior and economic modeling.
- Proven track record of optimizing well performance and increasing recovery factors.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to interpret complex subsurface data.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
