Responsibilities
- Design and implement reservoir simulation models to forecast production performance and identify optimization opportunities
- Analyze well performance data using advanced software (e.g., PETREL, Eclipse) to recommend enhanced recovery techniques
- Lead multidisciplinary projects integrating geoscience, drilling, and production teams
- Develop economic models for field development plans and investment proposals
- Monitor reservoir behavior and recommend mitigation strategies for pressure depletion issues
- Maintain compliance with industry standards (SPE, API) and regulatory requirements
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical innovation workshops
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- 8+ years of reservoir engineering experience in unconventional plays
- Advanced proficiency in reservoir simulation software and production analysis tools
- Proven track record in developing field development plans and economic evaluations
- Strong understanding of EOR/IOR methodologies and reservoir characterization techniques
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex technical concepts to stakeholders
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing project timelines
