Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust reservoir simulation models to forecast production performance.
- Conduct comprehensive well performance analysis and optimization studies.
- Provide technical support for field development plans and investment proposals.
- Analyze pressure transient data and fluid properties to improve recovery factors.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including geology and drilling, to integrate subsurface datasets.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for executive leadership.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote industry best practices within the department.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in reservoir engineering within the O&G sector.
- Proven proficiency in simulation software such as Eclipse, tNavigator, or Petrel.
- Strong understanding of economic modeling and risk assessment principles.
- Deep knowledge of unconventional reservoir dynamics and secondary recovery techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business strategy.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is highly desirable.
