Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement reservoir simulation models to predict subsurface fluid flow and optimize production strategies.
- Analyze complex geological and petrophysical data to determine reservoir potential and reserve estimates.
- Collaborate with drilling and production engineers to ensure well completions align with reservoir performance goals.
- Lead technical reviews and present findings to senior management and stakeholders.
- Monitor field performance and troubleshoot production issues to mitigate decline rates.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies and methodologies to improve recovery factors.
- Prepare detailed engineering reports and reservoir management plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering or upstream operations.
- Proficient in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse, CMG) and data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of reservoir mechanics, fluid dynamics, and thermodynamics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple concurrent projects.
- P.E. license is preferred but not required for experienced candidates.
