Responsibilities
- Lead reservoir simulation studies using advanced software (Petrel, Eclipse, Nexus) to optimize field development plans
- Develop and implement digital twin models for real-time production forecasting and reservoir performance analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate geological, geophysical, and petrophysical data into cohesive reservoir models
- Design and execute pressure maintenance programs to enhance ultimate recovery factors
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct technical reviews of engineering deliverables
- Present reservoir performance analyses to executive stakeholders and investment committees
- Stay current with emerging technologies like machine learning for production optimization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field (MS/PhD preferred)
- 10+ years of reservoir engineering experience in unconventional plays (Permian, Eagle Ford, or Bakken)
- Expert proficiency in reservoir simulation software and production forecasting tools
- Proven track record of optimizing field development plans with 15%+ recovery factor improvements
- Strong technical writing skills with documented reservoir management studies
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Demonstrated experience mentoring junior engineers and leading technical teams
- Familiarity with carbon capture and sequestration methodologies
