Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust reservoir simulation models to predict field performance and optimize recovery factors.
- Lead multidisciplinary asset teams to identify and evaluate infill drilling opportunities and workover candidates.
- Perform comprehensive pressure transient analysis and material balance calculations for diverse reservoir types.
- Prepare detailed reserves reports in compliance with SEC and PRMS standards for annual disclosures.
- Implement advanced EOR (Enhanced Oil Recovery) techniques to extend asset lifecycle and improve productivity.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and foster a culture of technical rigor and continuous improvement.
- Present data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership to influence capital allocation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related Earth Science discipline.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the oil & gas upstream sector.
- Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Eclipse, Petrel RE, OFM, and Kappa Workstation.
- Deep understanding of unconventional and conventional reservoir mechanics and fluid characterization.
- Proven track record in successful field development planning and reserves estimation.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience in utilizing Python or R for subsurface data manipulation is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
