Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design of aerospace propulsion systems using advanced CAD/CAE tools
- Perform complex finite element analysis (FEA) and thermal modeling for high-stress environments
- Develop rapid prototyping solutions and validate designs through rigorous testing protocols
- Optimize manufacturing processes for lightweight, high-tolerance components
- Mentor junior engineers and cross-functional teams on mechanical best practices
- Drive innovation in material science applications for extreme operational conditions
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and FAA certification standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 7+ years of experience in aerospace or high-performance mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in SolidWorks and ANSYS simulation tools
- Proven track record in FEA/thermal analysis for propulsion systems
- Strong knowledge of composite materials and additive manufacturing
- AS9100 certification and FAA regulatory experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills with systematic troubleshooting approach
- LEED Green Associate certification (highly desirable)
