As a Senior Reservoir Engineer at Apex, you will play a pivotal role in the lifecycle of our assets, from exploration to field development. You will lead complex modeling efforts, mentor junior staff, and drive decisions that maximize recovery factors while ensuring operational excellence.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of reservoir simulation models using industry-standard software (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse, CMG).
- Analyze pressure transient data and production history to forecast reservoir behavior and optimize production strategies.
- Identify and evaluate Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) methods to maximize field recovery and economic returns.
- Collaborate closely with geoscientists, drilling engineers, and production teams to integrate geological models with engineering forecasts.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for stakeholders and executive management.
- Conduct reservoir surveillance and monitor field performance against predictions.
- Mentor junior reservoir engineers and provide technical guidance on complex modeling challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Proven expertise in reservoir simulation software (Petrel, Eclipse, or CMG) and reservoir characterization tools.
- Strong understanding of reservoir geology, fluid dynamics, and rock mechanics.
- Experience with pressure transient analysis (PTA) and decline curve analysis.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to diverse audiences.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to field sites as required.
