Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive reservoir models using industry-standard software (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse).
- Conduct pressure transient analysis and decline curve analysis to predict well performance and reserves.
- Collaborate with geoscientists and drilling engineers to design optimal well placement strategies.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for executive stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Identify opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and waterflood optimization.
- Monitor reservoir behavior and update models based on production data and field surveillance.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (PhD preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the upstream oil and gas industry.
- Strong proficiency in reservoir simulation software (Petrel, CMG, Eclipse) and data analysis tools.
- Proven track record of managing complex projects and leading technical teams.
- P.E. license (Professional Engineer) is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence technical decisions.
