Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced reservoir simulation models to forecast production performance
- Lead field development planning and optimization for unconventional assets
- Conduct economic analysis and reserves evaluations for investment decisions
- Develop enhanced oil recovery (EOR) strategies for mature fields
- Collaborate with drilling and completion teams to optimize well performance
- mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to project teams
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in reservoir engineering
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years of reservoir engineering experience in upstream operations
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Petrel, Eclipse, CMG)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in production data analysis
- Knowledge of unconventional resource development (shale, tight formations)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Excellent communication skills with ability to present complex technical concepts
- Experience with economic modeling and reserves reporting standards
