Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize mechanical systems using CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA) and FEA analysis
  • Develop test protocols and conduct validation for durability, performance, and safety compliance
  • Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
  • Collaborate with R&D teams on material selection and manufacturing process innovation
  • Interface with suppliers to ensure component quality and supply chain resilience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred)

  • Expert proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks/CATIA) and simulation tools (ANSYS/ABAQUS)
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, DFMEA, and APQP processes
  • Proven track record of leading product development from concept to launch
  • Experience with lightweight materials (aluminum, composites) and powertrain systems
  • Valid US driver's license and ability to travel to supplier sites
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license highly desirable
