Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust reservoir simulation models to predict field performance and optimize recovery factors.
- Conduct comprehensive pressure transient analysis and material balance studies to identify production opportunities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists and drilling engineers, to execute successful infill drilling programs.
- Prepare detailed annual reserve reports in strict accordance with SEC and internal corporate standards.
- Mentor junior engineering staff, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
- Monitor and analyze field production data to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective engineering solutions.
- Present strategic reservoir management plans to executive stakeholders to secure project funding and alignment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 8-12 years of progressive experience within the upstream Oil & Gas sector.
- Expert-level proficiency in industry-standard software suites (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel, Kappa/Saphir).
- Deep understanding of decline curve analysis, nodal analysis, and economic evaluation methodologies.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million dollar asset portfolios and delivering production targets.
- Exceptional analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is highly preferred.
