Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end mechanical design and validation of vehicle components using CAD tools (SolidWorks/CATIA)
- Develop and optimize thermal management systems for high-performance EV powertrains
- Conduct FEA/CFD simulations to ensure structural integrity and performance under extreme conditions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integration of mechanical systems with electrical and software components
- Prototype testing, validation, and troubleshooting of mechanical assemblies
- Generate technical documentation including design specifications, test reports, and manufacturing guidelines
- Mentor junior engineers and drive continuous improvement in design methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in automotive or heavy machinery mechanical design
- Expert proficiency in CAD/CAM tools (SolidWorks/CATIA) and FEA software (ANSYS/Abaqus)
- Deep understanding of materials science, thermodynamics, and mechanical failure analysis
- Proven track record in product development from concept to production
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes (injection molding, CNC machining, welding)
- Experience with automotive testing standards (SAE, ISO) and regulatory compliance
- Excellent problem-solving skills with systematic approach to complex engineering challenges
