Responsibilities
- Reservoir Characterization: Lead the analysis of geological and petrophysical data to construct accurate reservoir models and ensure data integrity.
- Simulation & Modeling: Develop and maintain sophisticated reservoir simulation models using industry-standard software (e.g., Eclipse, CMG) to forecast production performance.
- Production Optimization: Analyze production data to identify trends, decline curves, and opportunities for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) strategies.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Drilling, Completions, Geology) to design well placement and intervention strategies that maximize recovery factors.
- Technical Reporting: Prepare clear, concise, and compelling technical reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
- Field Surveillance: Oversee field operations to ensure alignment with reservoir management plans and troubleshoot issues in real-time.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering within the upstream Oil & Gas industry.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, CMG, Petrel) and data analysis tools (Excel, Python, MATLAB).
- License: Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is strongly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical thinking and ability to make data-driven decisions under pressure.
