Responsibilities
- Lead design and analysis of complex infrastructure projects including highways, bridges, and water treatment facilities
- Perform structural calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D and Revit while ensuring compliance with AASHTO and local building codes
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and client communications for multi-disciplinary teams
- Conduct site investigations, geotechnical evaluations, and construction phase quality assurance
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct peer reviews to maintain technical excellence
- Develop innovative sustainable solutions using BIM modeling and parametric design tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (PE license required)
- 8+ years of progressive experience in transportation or structural engineering
- Expert proficiency in Civil 3D, Revit, and structural analysis software (SAP2000, ETABS)
- Proven track record leading projects exceeding $10M in value
- Strong understanding of TxDOT, FEMA, and ADA compliance standards
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Certification in LEED or Envision sustainable infrastructure preferred
