Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced reservoir simulation models for shale gas/oil assets
- Optimize well placement and hydraulic fracturing designs using Petrel and Eclipse software
- Analyze production data to identify underperforming wells and recommend remedial actions
- Develop economic forecasts and reservoir management plans for multi-billion dollar projects
- Lead cross-functional teams of geoscientists and drilling engineers
- Ensure compliance with API, SPE, and environmental regulations
- Mentor junior engineers through technical workshops and knowledge sharing
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering (MS/PhD preferred)
- 10+ years upstream reservoir engineering experience
- Expertise in unconventional reservoirs (shale, tight formations)
- Advanced proficiency in reservoir simulation software (Eclipse, Nexus, CMG)
- Strong analytical skills with production data interpretation expertise
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proven project leadership in complex energy environments
- Knowledge of digital oilfield technologies and AI applications
