Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end electrical design for battery management systems and power conversion units
- Develop and validate PCB layouts using Altium Designer with emphasis on EMI/EMC compliance
- Conduct thermal analysis and simulation using ANSYS Icepak for high-power applications
- Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in design for manufacturing (DFM)
- Interface with suppliers to qualify components and optimize supply chain strategies
- Prepare detailed technical documentation including schematics, BOMs, and test procedures
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for reliability and performance metrics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in power electronics design (≥1kW systems)
- Proficiency with Altium Designer and SPICE simulation tools
- Strong understanding of IEEE 1547 and UL 1741 standards
- Experience with Li-ion battery management systems and safety protocols
- Proven track record of bringing products from concept to production
- Expertise in thermal management and high-frequency circuit design
- Strong problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making approach
