Responsibilities
- Design and implement reservoir simulation models using PETREL and ECLIPSE software
- Conduct well performance analysis and production optimization studies
- Lead field development planning and reserve estimation projects
- Collaborate with drilling and production teams to implement enhanced recovery techniques
- Prepare technical reports and economic evaluations for investment decisions
- Mentor junior engineers and facilitate cross-functional project reviews
- Stay current with emerging technologies like digital twin applications and AI-driven analytics
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field (MS preferred)
- 8+ years of reservoir engineering experience in E&P operations
- Expert proficiency in reservoir simulation software (PETREL, ECLIPSE, CMG)
- Strong understanding of enhanced oil recovery (EOR) methodologies
- Proven track record in reserve reporting per SPE guidelines
- Valid P.E. license in Texas or ability to obtain within 6 months
- Experience with unconventional reservoirs (shale plays) highly desirable
