In this pivotal role, you will lead complex reservoir characterization efforts, drive production optimization strategies, and utilize cutting-edge simulation software to maximize asset value in our core unconventional plays.
You will work alongside industry-leading geoscientists and drilling engineers to unlock significant reserves while maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental stewardship.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute reservoir management strategies for unconventional and conventional assets.
- Perform comprehensive decline curve analysis and pressure transient analysis.
- Build and maintain high-fidelity reservoir simulation models to forecast production performance.
- Collaborate with drilling and completions teams to optimize well placement and stimulation designs.
- Prepare detailed economic evaluations and reserve reports in compliance with SEC guidelines.
- Mentor junior engineering staff and foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Present data-driven recommendations to executive leadership to guide capital allocation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline; Master’s or PhD is a plus.
- Minimum of 8-12 years of experience in reservoir engineering within the O&G sector.
- Proven proficiency in Petrel, Eclipse, CMG, or similar industry-standard simulation software.
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience in stochastic modeling and uncertainty analysis.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical data into business strategy.
- Deep understanding of North American shale play economics and development workflows.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred.
