Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of reservoir management plans for diverse asset portfolios.
  • Conduct high-fidelity reservoir simulations using Petrel/Eclipse or CMG suites to forecast production.
  • Perform comprehensive decline curve analysis and material balance calculations for reserves reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including geology and petrophysics, to integrate static and dynamic models.
  • Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Support A&D activities by conducting rigorous technical due diligence on acquisition targets.
  • Present data-driven optimization strategies to executive leadership for budget approval.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field; Master’s or PhD preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-12 years of direct industry experience in reservoir engineering.
  • Proven expertise in reservoir simulation software and decline curve analysis (DCA).
  • In-depth understanding of SEC reserve booking guidelines and reporting standards.
  • Strong background in unconventional shale plays and fluid property analysis (PVT).
  • Exceptional analytical mindset with advanced proficiency in Python or R for data automation.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is highly desirable.
